Ms Charmaine began her professional training at the Queensland Ballet Academy at the age of 15 directed by Li Cun Xin and Christian Tátchev. She also trained under Martyn Fleming and Matthew Lawrence at the Queensland National Ballet School and graduated with an Advanced Diploma in Dance. 

After graduating, Ms Charmaine joined the contemporary ballet company Method X Performance Centre in Australia. Soon after she was invited to join Brisbane Ballet under the direction of Emrys Goldsworthy where she worked with many world renowned choreographers and performed many works including Isolation, Entropy and Equilibrium choreographed by Emrys Goldsworthy and many more.

Ms Charmaine has experience teaching RAD, CSTD and open ballet classes for 8-17 year olds as well as adults. Her choreographic works, contemporary solo Premiére and contemporary duo Double Concerto, both placed 2nd in the CSTD Singapore Regional Competition and Get The Beat Competition in 2021.
